At age 10, Jennylyn Chung joined The Hour of Power Children’s Choir, quickly becoming a featured soloist in the choir. As an ambitious teen, she went on to perform in prestigious venues such as, the Irvine Verizon Wireless Amphitheater, The White House, The Hour of Power television show and Dodger Stadium.
Further delving into pop and jazz, Miss Chung went on to tour the United States, Canada and Europe during her early 20s. She continued to dance with her high school varsity cheerleading squad, and then went on to perform with the LIU Post Song & Dance Team. A finalist in several vocal competitions and talent shows, Jennylyn lived for music. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Long Island University Post, having studied both business and music.
Master of Music + Professional Singer
Upon completion of her master’s degree in vocal performance from California Baptist University in 2012, Jennylyn would continue to experience growing success. She performed with several prominent opera companies in California such as The San Diego Opera, The Pacific Opera Project, The Pacific Lyric Association, The International Opera Institute and The Riverside Lyric Opera.
Jennylyn sang with female pop-jazz group, The Pinups, from 2013-2015, and was featured in the cable television show, Recipe Hunters, singing beautiful Italian arias. In 2017 Jennylyn was picked up for the comedy web series, Oh Honey. No.
Jennylyn also has vast experience in classical church music, serving as the lead vocal cantor at Christ Church Presbyterian (PCA), Irvine, for 5 years. In addition, she sang as a lead soloist and choral section leader at Community Church Congregational, Newport Beach, from 2013-2015. Jennylyn will forever hold sacred music close to her heart.
Jennylyn Voice Studio
In 2010 Jennylyn opened Jennylyn Voice Studio, where talented young women were trained in singing, musicianship and personal development. Clients were skilled, professional artists who got major performing gigs, won competitions and beauty pageants, were awarded major college scholarships and started successful creative businesses.
In 2017, Jennylyn began her focus on personal branding, artist life-coaching and creative entrepreneurship. She wanted to help women live their most creative, feminine and beautiful lives. In addition to her work with dedicated clients, Jennylyn released her own skincare, jewelry, books and e-courses, which were designed to keep her followers inspired [along their journey]. With singing being her first love, her debut Christmas album is scheduled to be released in 2018.
Miss Chung is grateful to be living her bicoastal dream life in Los Angeles and New York City.
